After our time in Montrose we drove at 12am to get to Denver for our flight to California to visit my family and celebrate Libby's 1st birthday. We had a great time during our week. We arrived on Sunday around noon and were welcomed by my aunt Lura, Uncle Frank and Grandma Dabling. We spent the day with them and went swimming in the backyard. Then the Knight family came that night and we packed up and headed to Bass Lake the next morning. We had a caravan...an Expedition towing a luggage trailer, Excursions towing a camping trainler and the RV towing the boat! Josh drove the Excursion he likes driving big vehicles...like driving buses in Alaska.
We spent the week boating, swimming, and playing games. We celebrated Libby's birthday while there. She was a little more interested in opening presents this time around. I think she got the hang of it. We gave her another shot at eating cake too. I tried helping her out and put it on her face, and she helped me in return! Liberty really loved the water at the lake...as you will notice. Sometimes we had a hard time getting her out. She did so good on the boat rides too, put her right to sleep most of the time. We still can't believe that our little girl is a year old! Time has flown and we sure enjoy all that Liberty brings to our family! We had so much fun on our much needed summer vacation! Thank you Thun and Bevan family for having us!! We love you all!!
