Libby is becoming quite the independent girl. She has a mind of her own and thinks she is free to go and do whatever she wants already. She has become very silly when it comes to taking picures of her too. She doesn't want to be the one in the picture, she just wants to look at the pics already taken. You'll notice in a lot of her pictures she is running away or not smiling because I have to sneak up on her. She likes to repeat the alphabet with us, and occassionally will repeat certain letters at random. Her favorite is w, x, y, z and she'll sing it anywhere. Especially going through the aisles of Walmart and when she is done eating.
Jerry, Marie and Erik came for a visit during their spring break. We celebrated Jerry's and my birthday and had lots of desserts for days. Libby loved having the company and for a couple days after they left kept asking for grandma, grandpa and especially Erik. Erik became a quick fix for when Libby was having a break down. We would just say go get a book and give it to Erik and she would snap back into being happy Libby.
While the Thun's where here we made a trip to Nauvoo, minus Josh, he had to stay and do his clinical rotations. We had a good time there, and were able to see a good chunck of the sights, including a temple session and tour of Carthage jail. We stayed at the Zion's Mercantile, which was just across the street from the temple. Such a cute place to stay and great view of the temple.
This Easter was fun for Libby. We got her a little basket with a stuffed animal puppy with bunny ears, pink necklace and bubbles. Then in between general conference sessions we went over to our friends the Days, (Libby best friend Brynlee) and had the girls hunt for eggs. It took a minute for them to get the hang of it, but I think they picked up pretty good and had fun. Then after the last session we went back to the Days for a yummy Easter dinner with them and the Lews and taught them Farkle. It was a great Easter!
