California...a Few of the Girls Favorite Things Here

Libby, Kennedi, and I headed off to California a little over a week ago to visit my family and friends.  Josh had a business trip in Texas for a few days, so we figured it was a good time for us to go.  Since Josh is the only first year resident, it makes it hard for him to take off for a bit.  We are here for 3 weeks, and have been keeping plenty busy.
The girls starting off their time here with a nice bubbly bath in grandma's big new bath tub.  Kennedi wasn't to sure of the bubbles at first.  It's something they look forward to on bath day.
Maddie couldn't resist joining in with the girls.

My parents moved back in July, and now live a 5 min walk away from a park.  The girls can't stay away.  We try to go everyday that it is nice.
Libby has overcome her fear of climbing and has conquered all the ladders, steps, and rock walls.

Kennedi is trying to climb like her big sister.

I love that they can play together so well.

Hanging out with their aunts

Kennedi is attached to Maddie.  She has evolved into the shy stage...stranger danger.  Unless of course you are a little person who plays barbies and dress-ups with you.  She has had a hard time getting up close and personal with my mom and dad.

And Libby is attached to Emma.  Libby looks so much like Emma did.
One of the first days of our trip, Emma and Maddie had a book fair at their school with lots of craft activities for the kids.  They made these cute paper hats...
 Bracelets...

Colored magnets...

 Decorated cupcakes...
Kennedi thoroughly enjoyed the cupcake part.
Even my dad joined in.

My Nani (grandma, dad's mom) had a birthday a few days ago and this is how we celebrated together.  We found these yummy mini cheesecakes, molten lava cake and fruit tart.  Of course my favorite was the strawberry cheesecake, they put a hint of cinnamon in the crust...oh so good!
No trip back home would be complete without making a trip to my favorite restaurant La Morenita's with my favorite girl friends!  It's the best mexican restaurant.  Throughout high school we made frequent trips here.  These girls are so great.  Even though we may not see each other as often as we would like.  It's so great to just get together and pick up our friendship and laugh like crazy about anything.  Some say we look like sister :)

More updates to come from our trip.  We're here for another week.  :)
