Spring Break
Hey all!
The end of spring break is here... sigh... off to starting another great week of school and work. We couldn't be more excited, cause if we were, we'd be lying. We had a great week in Colorado. We left Iowa and drove all the way to Colorado 960miles! I was very proud of us. Sam, being pregnant strangely only needed a restroom during gas stops. We got lucky. We had a good book on tape and made great time. We really enjoyed ourselves with the fam. Erik, my bro is getting taller and more and more like a teenager.
Samantha & Dad's birthdays are this month (in fact this week!), so we had a combine birthday party. Good cake and ice cream. The slide show shows some pictures.
Dad, Erik and I went shooting on the adobe mountains. We had a good time shooting the .22. Then we had a great find... a case of liquor. Not for drinking of course but shooting! Someone must have got drunk out there and left the case, so we set up all the bottles and shot them all. We had great fun doing that!
Mom, Dad, Sam & I went out to Gateway Colorado, just on the Utah border for some ATV riding. We had a great time in such a beautiful area. We enjoyed some long rides and good company. Sam really had never done it before, so she was a little nervous. She was gripping onto me pretty hard. By the end though, she was driving and had the hang of it and I really had to hold on to her! To say the least we had a great time. We did come across a pretty serious accident in the middle of nowhere... there is a picture in the slide show. I had flashbacks of Alaska accidents and Dad & I thought for sure we were going to be pulling injured or dead people out of the car. We figured out how they wrecked and then went and reported it. In town we found the people who wrecked and they seemed to be okay but pretty shook up. Scary moment!
Other than that, I enjoyed working and reliving the old days in the Papa Murphy's with dad and Sam went out and did lady things with mom. We really enjoyed ourselves. We drove home on Thursday and got back at 3:45 am. Sam went to work the next afternoon and I did all the stuff I needed to.
Happy Easter to everyone! What a great day to remember Christ and realize what he has done for each of us. Sam and I taught primary today. We had 3~4 year olds. They were an adventure. Here are some of their random comments... "I am potty trained!", "babies go poop!" and singing the song "I love you, you love me, let's get together and kill Barney!".... wow... we realized what we are up against in a few months.
Speaking of which, Sam is doing really good right now. The baby is really growing, and she is kicking like a kickboxer. We are loving her more and more here. People are starting to realize Sam is pregnant. It is obvious now. She is 24 weeks along. Hopefully she gets her mom's looks and my... well, I don't think she needs my anything. On the other hand, if she looks like me.... that will keep the boys away!

Happy birthday Sam! You look great. It should be a crime to look that nice and be pregnant! :D
Glad to hear things are going so well for you guys. We made the cross country trip last spring break to visit Allison's sister. It was great except for hitting the racoon followed by the dear.
