April is here!

In April my mom Teresa came to visit us in Iowa. While she was here we took a trip to Ottumwa. We had a good visit with the Knight family. We also ate lunch at the Canteen...mmm...mmm...good! Also during her time here we spent some time getting ready for the baby to come. We started the babies gift registry at Babies R Us and washed all the clothes and blankets she brought here from Cali! :) We also went to Costco and added to our food storage.

Josh's school had a dinner and arena football game for students this last weeked that we went to. We went with our other friends from church/school the Lews' and Days'. The arena football game was a fun and interesting experience. The field is only 50 yards, no out of bounds and a little more rough than regular football. We saw some pretty good hits which made the 2nd half of the game more exciting!

Today I had a doctors appointment. This week was my gluclose test for diabetes and to get my hemoglobin count. I had to drink this orange liquid that tasted like very flat orange soda with extra syrup. It tasted ok at first, but the last bit was hard to drink down. The nurse said I past with flying colors, which was very good to hear. The doctor also checked the normal things, weight, blood pressure, measure of my belly and the heartbeat of the baby. Things are looking good and baby is growing at the right pace. I'm deffinitely growing in the tummy area as you'll be able to see in my recent picture. Lately I've been feeling good, just a little tired and some things are getting a little awkward to do. Since she is moving around a lot, Josh and I have a fun time feeling her, she sure makes us laugh and look forward to playing with her after she is born. Josh and I are both getting very excited for the special day to come, along with some nervousness of becoming parents. This picture is me at 29 weeks!
