We had our first huge snow last Tuesday through Wednesday. Iowa news is calling it the "Blizzard of '09." We got dumped on, about 16 inches. The winds picked up strong, up to 50 mph and drifts were very high in places. We were stuck in our home all day Wednesday, and most of Thursday, but we really needed some milk and diapers. So we were lucky that they finally plowed a little through our townhouse neighborhood in the afternoon so we could venture out to Walmart. Quite cold, we bundled Libby up pretty good and she was so cooperative about it all. It was nice to get out even though it was just going to Walmart. I think we were there longer than we would normally be. :) Then we had our good friends the Days over (they live like 4 houses down) for dinner and a game of Settlers. It was nice for Libby too because she was able to play with her friend Brynlee and not mom and dad. Great way to top off our time in the house for two days.
We hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season!

Libby is too cute. Love the picture with Santa! Classic. That is pretty interesting about the mix-up between Santa and a cow... but that must be so fun to be able to teach her and have her understand put things together! :)
