At the beginning of October my sister Torie, Libby, Kennedi, and I flew to Albuquerque from California to meet Josh at our new place. Josh is now doing his four month rotation here at the VA. Torie stayed for about 10 days and we were able to do some fun things with her.
The first weekend we went to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. We had to be there at 5:30am, and traffic was crazy. We parked a ways away, but it was better than paying $10 for parking and getting into more traffic. It was only $6 a person to get in too, not bad. It was a lot like a state fair on the sidelines and then there was this huge grass field where all the balloons take off. It was so cool to be so up close with the balloons. The sky was filled pretty quickly. There's quite a few pics here. Hope it's not an overload. :)
The next weekend we went to the Albuquerque Zoo. It was Libby and Kennedi's first trip. It's not a bad zoo either. Libby loves animals so she was so thrilled. She constantly talks about all the animals. She liked the hippos, monkeys, lion and polar bears the best. Here's a few pics of our favorites.
