Our 5th Anniversary

Josh and I celebrated our 5th anniversary yesterday! We feel like we are no longer considered newly weds. :) Josh started his day off by going to work at 5:30am, but was able to come home around 1pm to spend the rest of the day with me and the girls. We all took a nap after lunch! Yay for sleep! Then we got ready and went to one of our favorite restaurants P.F. Changs for dinner to celebrate. We had our luncheon there in San Diego after we were married. Our first and second anniversaries we ate their as well. Third and fourth anniversaries weren't so lucky...but that's ok.

We had a gift card that my parents gave us, so we spoiled ourselves a little. We each started out with eggdrop soup, so good, I hadn't had it for a long time. Then we had calamari for an appetizer, it was pretty good, of course can't compare to what I grew up eating in Monterey. Still it was a treat to us. Libby even tried it and loved it! We were so proud of her to try it, she's sometimes a little timid when it comes to new food. Then we had a plate of Mongolian beef and a plate of sweet and sour chicken each with a bowl of rice. We just kind of ate what we wanted of each. I'd never had their Mongolian beef before, but Josh has had it a couple of times here in Albuquerque for some of their meetings. We were very happy with it all, very very yummy! Libby had a plate of rice and she noticed that Josh was using chopsticks and I was trying. :) So she decided to try it out, she did pretty good for a 2 year old. Then we had these mini desserts! They were put together in shot glasses, mine was strawberry cheesecake and Josh's was red velvet cake. It was such a great dinner, I bet your hungry now! Kennedi just played in her carseat the whole time and was so happy and content to be there.
Then we went home and watched the Sing Off finale. It's an awesome show we got into last year with acapella singing groups. They are very talented people. Then off to bed with the kiddos.

It was a perfect evening for our circumstances! I'm so thankful for my wonderful husband! He's is everything that I ever wanted and more! He works so hard for our family and takes good care of us. He's such a good dad too, Libby and Kennedi just adore him. I'm thankful for our temple marriage so that we can be a family forever!!

She had to use her other hand sometimes to help scoop up the rice

Josh- what's up with that red mess on your face? You seriously need to look in the mirror :)
