February Updates

Libby is learning to potty train a little more seriously this week. It's been an on going thing for at least 6 months now and we just can't get her to commit to it all the time. She only tells us occasionally when she needs to go, or we catch her in the act, or ask her and take her to at least try. So now we have a sticker chart and an Elmo coloring book as an incentive. We'll see how this week goes. Any extra advice is welcome. We need to get this accomplished! On another note, last night when we were putting Libby to bed, she told me that her eyes were tired and then showed me. She look me right in the eyes and blinked slowly and squinted showing me how tired they were. She cracks me up. I'm glad she admitted she was tired and ready for bed. Last week we went through a phase of not wanting to stay in bed. She gets to busy and enjoys life!

Kennedi is growing faster each day. She is now 9 1/2 months old and weighs 19 lbs already. Libby weighed that at 12 months, so it's a big difference for us. She doesn't really look chubby, but she is so solid and thick. Libby was so squishy. :) Kennedi has been crawling around for a few weeks now and is just into everything she sets her eyes on. Things she's not supposed to have of course. She loves to find strings, show laces, electrical cords, things of that nature. And if we just put it down the hall she knows how to get to it and she remembers and will go back to get what she wants. She likes to explore around the house too. Different from Libby as well. She is trying to climb up on furniture or us, but that is a little hard considering we don't have very much furniture and no couch to help her learn on. She loves to attack us when we are laying on the floor and climb
over us. She gets so proud of herself.

It's so fun to see these girls grow and play together. They are so different, yet they love each other so much. I'm so grateful for that.

Josh has been busy with his first month of his private practice rotation here in Montrose. He's really enjoyed learning from Dr. Cook. He's also been studying really hard for his boards exam that he is at the moment taking up in Grand Junction. He will begin his internal medicine rotation next week. We have also ranked our residency programs last month and will find out where we are headed for the next three years on March 14th. We can't wait, we are getting so anxious to start figuring things out again. We'll fill everyone in when we find out.

As for me I've been keeping busy with the girls and our new place. I'm trying my hand at a sewing project as well. I'm learning how to make a little I-spy quilt with Marie and Clarissa. I still have a little to go, I haven't been able to work on it for a couple weeks, but when I'm done, I'll post pictures. Maybe...depends on how it looks.

Walk on one of the nice days last week.

Watching the BYU basketball game last Saturday. We're happy that they won and now are ranked 3 in the nation!
