*NOTE: this is long, full of pictures and a naked baby bum.
It is an endless struggle to control the cereal snacking and dumping onto the floor. It is my fault of course that they have such easy access to it though. I have all the cereal on a bottom open shelf, but our kitchen is so small I don't have anywhere else to put it. So I just deal with it and try to teach the girls to ask for cereal in a bowl before they start digging in. Kennedi is notorious for dumping everything out, and they still enjoy eating the cereal off the floor. Good thing my floors are clean because I'm constantly wiping up messes of all sorts so I don't mind them eating off the floor. :)
Kennedi eats fruit like crazy. Seriously any fruit is game for her and she just piles it all in her mouth as fast as possible. We needed to stock up on some peaches and mandarin oranges and when we got home the girls decided to build towers with the cans before I got a chance to put them away.
Cooking in their play kitchen is a daily thing, just like mom. Libby loves to cook things up for Josh and I. She willingly fulfills all our orders too. Except one. Josh asked Libby for a drink and ordered a Pina Colada on the rocks. Libby stared at him for a minute and then replied, "We don't have any rocks!"
Kennedi is always on the run after bath time. She's not a fan of sitting still to get dressed. She has to be entertained with a toy, tickles or singing. She is also very good at making food and pretending to eat it and shares with us too.
Libby got a new pair of pink cowgirl boots with some money she earned by selling brownies at our neighborhood yard sale. I wish we made more baked goods, that's where all the money was coming from. Libby and Kennedi are practically the only kids in our little neighborhood of 100 plus townhouses. I think I've only seen a mom with a couple of little ones and another mom with a new born. So the neighbors have come fond of them. Especially cause our neighbor Bill knows everyone and everything going on and introduces the girls.
Kennedi has really been into taking care of baby dolls ever since she met her baby cousin Brooklyn. She's very good at feeding the baby, putting it to bed, rocking it, kissing it good night and what not. This one of her favortie places in my room to take care of baby. At the end of our bed where we have our old queen size memory foam pad folded up.
Playing with her toys in her room...yes two of their toy boxes are Papa Murphy's boxes. :)
I asked Libby to help me unload the dishes this week, she was all for it and then this is what I found when I went to make dinner later. From top to bottom the silverware is supposed to go kids, knives, small forks, big forks, big and little spoons. I'm always up for a helper though. :)
We had the missonaries over for dinner last week and this is the message one of the elders from Italy left with the girls magnets. He said their wasn't anything left to write good, so he tried to make bueno work. :)
This is from a walk to took with play group on a rail trail in Hurley last Friday. Rail trails are just paved paths over where a previous railroad track used to be. These pictures just show how uninterested the girls are at taking pictures for me.
On a side note...I made my first apple pie completely from scratch with the apples we picked. It turned pretty good! Success for once on my baking skills.
