Kaaterskill Falls Hike

The autumn weather here has been so nice.  We were able to take a hike last weekend up in the Catskills called Kaaterskill Falls.  There was a waterfall at the beginning, then the hike followed up the creek and then ends at the tallest two teared waterfall in New York.  It was so pretty and relaxing.  It was so nice to be up in the fresh mountain air.  When we told Libby earlier in the week that we were planning to go on a hike, she got sooooo excited.  She was literally jumping up and down the morning of our hike, she was so ready to get out there.  Kennedi was glad to get out too.  You just show her her shoes and she's happy as can be.

                                                                       Ready to begin
Libby pretty much hiked the whole trail with us, just needed help up and down the steep beginning.

Over time the water formed the rocks

Kennedi has had her share of hiking

This is actually the beginning of the hike, it was very steep

Libby did so well on the hike.  She was a little intimidated when we arrived to the trail head and saw this steep incline of rocks.  Josh carried her for a little bit and encouraged her to try hard things and said that she could do it.  So she tried, and did it.  She was so proud of her.  As we continued up the trail she continued to say "I did it!" or "I'm doing a good job!" whenever she went over a big step or jumped down from a rock.  We were really happy to see her enjoy herself so much.

What a fun hike! I'm so glad you got to get out and bond with New York. The girls are getting so big! I miss all of you!

Looks like such a pretty hike! Wish we had some good hikes just a little closer to our home. :)
