Weekend

We had a beautiful weekend here in NY.  Josh was able to venture out to go fishing at one of the doctors private lakes for the first time this year.  He had a good time, and we hope to go as a family this coming weekend.  We also went out to our favorite mexican restaurant with the girls.  We've never taken them before, there are rarely families there.  They were really good (as usual) and it was nice to hear from the table next to us (two older "NY" couples) say how good they were and that we are good parents.  They said they were worried when we first walked in, everyone always is.  :) Funny that's the way people think when they see young kids in public places.
On Sunday we went on a family walk after dinner.  Libby talked and talked.  She has something to say about everything.  She's great at making up names for things too.  She was so excited to show Josh how she can "gallop", she'd been practicing all week.  Instead of calling it galloping she said "dad, I'm flip-flopping!"  Josh said " you look like your riding a horse like a cowgirl."  She replied "I'm a cowgirl princess."  Such a true statement.  She loves everything about princesses and is usually in princess attire all day.  Then on the other hand she loves her pink cowgirl boots, her little Jesse doll, the outdoors and pigtails.  She was even trying on cowgirl hats on Saturday at the outdoor store we were at.

Kennedi is learning how to talk a little bit better lately. She is still as stubborn as ever when it comes to talking and when we ask her to say something. She'll talk when she wants to talk and when she does, who knows what she's saying?...except Libby of course.   I'm so glad that she is saying yeah or yes when we ask her something instead of her old usual "ehh". Her favorite number is two. Anytime I ask her how many, she will say the two everytime. Or counting is one...two! I say one and she says two and that's as far as she lets me go with her. Stubborn. She LOVES her baby doll as always...it seems even more lately. She drags her in the car, on walks, playing outside, sleeps with her, pushes her in the stroller, feeds her in the highchair, you name it! I love it though, she's so sweet.

Always helping me in the kitchen
We have a beautiful tree in our front yard that's been in bloom.  Libby loves picking flowers, she gives me many each day.
 Snack time with dad.
 Sunday afternoon.
She's got her baby...
Libby asked me to put a bunch of little braids in her hair last night, so we did.
She left them in all day and she's so excited to see how wavy her hair will be tomorrow.
