Day Trip to Boston

We made our first trip to Boston a couple of weekends ago, to start off our day trip we headed to the Boston Temple for a ward temple trip.  One of the young women watched Liberty and Kennedi for us so that we could do a session.  It was a beautiful day and the temple grounds were incredibly beautiful.  So lush and green.
Libby thinks temples are just so wonderful.  We have some good conversations with her about all the ones we have visited as a family.
Of course Kennedi chooses to show everyone her belly.
I think Libby will have a huge garden some day.  She loves flowers.

 Baby goes everywhere...
We then headed to the subway to ride into downtown Boston.
 Downtown.
We were just exploring the area to get a feel for things.  We hope to make it back out there again to do some more sight seeing.  We happened upon the Freedom trail, which goes throughout Boston with many history sights to check out.  This is where the Boston massacre happened.
The Waking of Ned Devine is one of Josh's favorite movies, so we thought it was funny that their was a pub named after it.
There were many street performers around.
We walked down to a pier by the aquarium, this is a view of the city from there.
I loved the salty sea air and beautiful ocean full of sailboats.  Reminds me of growing up in Monterey.  So pretty!
We ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and the wall behind the bar was covered in symbols.
It started pouring like crazy right when we went in to eat.  We were worried we wouldn't make it to the subway station with the girls without getting drenched.  We ate and waited a bit and got our clear chance to run to the station with out getting too wet.  The of course there was a pretty rainbow when we got to our car.
We really had a fun time and hope to make it out there again!  Love Boston!

I went to Boston/New York with all of my sisters when I was in high school. My sister lived in Boston at the time, and it was a blast! IF the girls have read the book, Make Way for Ducklings, I bet they would love the public garden swan boat ride!
