Liberty's 4th Birthday

We celebrated Liberty's 4th birthday two weekends ago with a Strawberry Shortcake themed party (Libby choice).  She invited a few friends and their families joined us for a BBQ.  It was fun preparing for it and getting everything ready.  Libby was so excited to have her very own party.  She helped out a lot with the preparing of food and decorating.
Josh manned the grill and was a  big help with everything.
Her lovely cake she picked out from Walmart.  Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to try myself.

The Berry Cafe themed food...Orange Blossom (orange slices), Cherry Jam (cherries), Blueberry muffin (blueberry muffins), Plum Pudding (grape salad croissant sandwiches)...
Raspberry Torte(raspberry pretzel jello), Strawberry Shortcake (chocolate covered strawberries and cheesecake stuffed strawberries)...
and Lemon Meringue (strawberry lemonade).

The main attraction!  The number one request from Libby was to have a pinata.  She's been talking about it for months.
So "excited" for the party.  I can never get them to smile at the same time.
We started off with one of Libby and Kennedi's favorite games, duck, duck, goose.  We also played musical chairs, balloon stomp and pass the parcel.
Some of the kiddos eating their grub.

So excited for everyone to sing Happy Birthday to her.

Small and big kids had a chance at the pinata.  Unfortunately I have no pics of Libby going at it, just video on Josh's iphone, which we can't figure out how to upload.  She loved it though!!

 Present time.

All the kids checking out the Princess magnet paper dolls.
 The after party!  Movie/nap break.
Her actual birthday morning.  Kennedi enjoying her breakfast before church.
Libby having a mini bagel for breakfast.
Opening a couple of gifts before church,

Checking out her new fishing pole.  She is so much like her daddy.  She's way excited to go fishing with Josh soon.
 Loving her goggles.

As usual she randomly fell asleep, even when eating a piece of candy.  A little wiped out from a birthday weekend.  We took her and Kennedi to see Brave on Saturday as part of her birthday surprise.  Libby was so happy to see a movie on the "big TV" and the movie theatre.

Dinner prayer.  She requested her favorite lasagna and homemade rolls, which she helped me make.
I surprised her with some strawberry limeade for her birthday dessert and we sang to her again.  She was happy with that!  :)
