Manhattan Temple

Josh and I went down to NYC last weekend for a youth temple trip with our ward.  We had not been to the Manhattan temple yet, so we were looking forward to it.  We got a babysitter for the first time to watch the girls at our house while we were gone for the day.  (we usually just swap child care with friends)  It was a jam packed temple.  Besides our small group of youth, there was a YSA group that decided to do baptisms.  It made for some delays, but it was an ejoyable experience.  It brought back many good memories of going to the Oakland temple to do baptisms when I was in Young Womens.  We took a couple with us that Josh home teaches and who I used to visit teach to help out and to do a spanish endowment session.  It was the first time for them to be back at the temple since they were sealed in March.  They were so joyful about the whole experience.  While they were in the session Josh and I walked to Central park and around the area of the temple.  We got a yummy bagel at a little cafe, a smoothie from Starbucks and went to the famous Magnolia Bakery to get some red velvet cake for Josh and some banana pudding (the best, and I don't even like bananas) for our friends.  It was such a beautiful day, not humid like our last visit and not to crazy.  The temple is near the Lincon center and the Julliard school.  The girls did great with the sitter and were so happy to welcome us home!
