Bake Sale
A couple of weeks ago our little neighborhood had a yard sale. We didn't have a ton to sell, so the girls and I got to baking in the kitchen. We baked a few dozen peanut butter cookies and a few dozen pumpkin cookies with caramel frosting. The girls sat out front by our table to sell their goods and made a pretty good profit of $43 dollars. Both girls are very good at convincing people to have some cookies. A few of our neighbors are quite fond of the girls and they were very kind to donate to their cause. Libby's main purpose was to earn some money to get a new pair of tennis shoes, which she was able to do. It was a great opportunity for us to teach Libby about paying tithing too. She helped count out her money and get her tithing envelope ready. She was very excited to deliver it to the Bishop the next day. We are also teaching them to save their money, so the rest of it is in a jar. They are excited for the next yard sale in the spring. :)
