To start off our Halloween fun this year, the girls and I went to a little party that our local library put on. Liberty was so excited to be Tinkerbell this year. She's been waiting to fit into this costume for two years. Kennedi has been really into playing dress ups lately. She is constantly wearing as many necklaces or bracelets she can find. The rest she hoards in some purse/bag that she'll carry around the house all day. She was happy to dress up as a princess and she makes the cutest Cinderella.
Decorating their activity bag.
Playing all the games.
It was a really rainy day...I love Kennedi's happy smile in this picture.
A few days later we carved out our pumpkins for family night when Hurricane Sandy was coming through.
The girls weren't too fond of cleaning out the seeds at first, but they soon got into it.Our finished products, the girls and I worked on the smaller pumpkin and Josh and the girls worked on the spooky castle. He is so good at being creative each year.
The girls helped me make some orange jack-o-lantern pancakes for Halloween breakfast.
Halloween day Libby's class dressed up and did a parade of their costumes and then went trick or treating at a nursing home.
Costume parade at preschool.
Libby performing a few songs with her preschool class.
Our Halloween dinner...ghost and jack-o-lantern quesadillas with black beans.
We were invited to go trick or treating by one of the doctors Josh works with. They live a a beautiful neighborhood that we didn't expect to find in Kingston. It was the first year that the girls have gone door to door trick or treating and they had a blast. Their buckets were full by the end of the night.
Our fun group of trick or treaters.
It was a fairly cold night.

Our trunk or treat party for church was postponed to Friday because of hurricane Sandy. I made some pumpkin cream cheese muffins to share.

Me: real belly, fake beard Josh: real beard, fake belly :)
The bearded buddies!
Love my Reese's in my tin can.
We were headed out the door, when the pinata showed up. So we stayed so the girls could have a whack at it. For some reason Libby thinks pinatas are the best.
