Uncle Erik came out east to visit us before he heads out on his mission to Guatemala. We kept him busy from the moment we picked him up at the airport at 5:30am. We headed straight into NYC and went to the Manhattan temple so Josh and Erik could do some baptisms for the dead using some family names.
They sure love their uncle.
His one and only brand new nephew Parker.
Our caravan through the city at Columbus Circle.
Rockefeller ice rinkLibby loves cruising through the city, but it was a long day for sure.
Erik took his first subway ride.
Grand Central Station. It was our first time going there, it is such a beautiful building inside and out. We hopped on the subway there too, pretty neat. The ferry over to Staten Island is free, so we took advantage of that. We ate our lunch and checked out the Statue of Liberty a little closer and had a great view of the city coming back.
Sorry it's sideways, it's just too cute to leave out. Liberty and lady Liberty.
Kennedi's turn to sleep. She fights falling asleep anywhere besides her bed, so I was surprised she fell asleep.
Good ol' Time Square. We were a tad to late walking over to the Today show, so everyone was already inside doing their last hour show.
It was also my birthday, besides going to the city I wanted to go to Canal St and do some cheap shopping. I got this new bag and two scarves. It was fun to haggle prices.
We of course took Erik to our favorite bakery in the city...Magnolia Bakery. They have the best banana pudding. We walked just about everywhere we could, starting at the top of the island in the Upper West side, down to the bottom to Battery Park and back up through Wall st and Canal st. I have so many pictures I wish I could post them all. It was a really fun day!
