Ugly Sweater Party

My friend Stacie and I planned this awesome ugly sweater party, but of course we have our biggest snow storm the day/night of our party.  So we only had three other people attend, it was really hard for people to get around and the plowing just wasn't happening, so everyone was stuck home.  We made the most of it though and had ourselves a fun night.

I made these ugly sweater sugar cookies complete with ugly sweaters on our ginger bread men and snowmen.

 We had the party at our friends house.  I found this ugly red brick backdrop for our couple photos and Stacie made these awesome Christmas lights from balloons and green cups.

 We had a hot chocolate bar, Christmas punch, cookies, three hot soups, rolls, chicken nachos

 Sam (my sweater feels like Elmo fur and I added the bells and trees) and Josh (found this lovely thing at Salvation Army, it felt so nasty and itchy and even dirty after I washed it.)

 We had a great white elephant gift exchange.  Sam-light lamp and Josh-pigs feet

Others received old music records, at cat/dog hologram picture, cold hard cash (change and dollars frozen in a cup), a sock aid-device to help put your socks on, and an ugly chicken that sings the chicken dance song.

We came home to a bunch of sleeping children.  These two on the floor, two and the couch and two in their pack n plays up stairs.
